Tony Sparano Net Worth and salary: Tony Sparano was an American professional football coach who had a net worth of $7 million at the time of his death in July 2018. Tony Sparano was born in West Haven, Connecticut in October 1961. He was a center at the University of New Haven where he was a four year letterman. He worked as an offensive line coach at the University of New Haven from 1984 to 1987 and then as an offensive line coach at Boston University in 1988. He stayed at Boston and served as offensive coordinator from 1989 to 1993. Sparano went back to the University of New Haven where he served as head coach from 1994 to 1998. He joined the NFL in 1999 where he worked as offensive quality control coach for the Cleveland Browns. In 2000 he was promoted to Cleveland's offensive line coach. Sparano was a tight ends coach for the Washington Redskins in 2001 and the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2002.

He was also tight ends coach for the Dallas Cowboys from 2003 to 2004 and then became offensive line coach and running game coordinator for the Cowboys from 2005 to 2005. In 2007 Sparano became assistant head coach and offensive line coach in Dallas. He got his first NFL head coaching job with the Miami Dolphins from 2008 to 2011. In 2012 he became offensive coordinator for the New York Jets. Sparano joined the Oakland Raiders and served as assistant head coach and offensive line coach in 2013. In 2014 he became interim head coach after Dennis Allen was fired. In 2015 he became the tight end coach for the 49ers and from 2016 – 2018 he was the offensive line coach for the Vikings. He is the only NFL head coach who has led a one win team to the playoffs the next year and the second coach to have a ten game turnaround. Unfortunately he died on July 22, 2018 at the age of 56.
